Milwaukee Public Museum Open on Mondays, Starting October 11

MILWAUKEE — Starting on October 11, the Milwaukee Public Museum (MPM) will extend its hours of operation to include Mondays. This extension comes as part of the Museum’s phased reopening plan and increases the number of days when the public may visit. Visitors can access MPM exhibits Thursdays through Mondays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“For the Milwaukee Public Museum, Mondays just got better,” says MPM President and CEO, Dr. Ellen Censky. “We are excited to offer our visitors another day to explore the Museum. The more opportunities the Museum has to inspire and inform visitors about natural history and world cultures, the better we are able to serve our community as an educational asset.”

In addition to reopening on Mondays, MPM and Zilli Hospitality Group will also reopen both the Café and coffee kiosk starting on Thursday, October 14. Refreshments will be available for purchase during limited hours of operations, Thursday through Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the coffee kiosk, and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Café. In conjunction with this opening, visitors and members of the public will once again have access to the Museum’s ground floor seating areas where they can enjoy food and beverages.

MPM now has all exhibits open to Museum visitors – including the Puelicher Butterfly Wing, featuring live tropical butterflies, and the Daniel M. Soref Planetarium and Dome Theater, Wisconsin’s largest planetarium. Three new Dome Theater and Planetarium programs will begin on October 14, including A to Z Astronomy, Ocean Odyssey and Superpower Dogs.
