Milwaukee Police Pursuit Ends Tragically as Teen Driver Crashes and Dies
Milwaukee Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit that occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at approximately 7:17 p.m. Officers observed a vehicle (Unit #1) driving recklessly and wanted for a felony. They attempted to make a traffic stop in the area N 19th and W Hampton. The driver refused and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when Unit #1 struck a tree in the 1900 block of W. Hampton Avenue. The driver and sole occupant of the fleeing vehicle, a 17-year-old, sustained fatal injuries, and was pronounced deceased at the crash location.
