Milwaukee Police Investigate Separate Shooting and Fatal Collision Incidents
The following incidents are unrelated:
Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred on Sunday, April 19th , 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., on the 1700 block of West Capitol Drive. The victim, a 28-year-old arrived at a local hospital for treatment of injuries. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee Police continue to seek unknown suspect(s). Milwaukee Police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred on Sunday, April 19th , 2026 at approximately 10:30 p.m., on the 6000 block of West Hampton Avenue. The driver of vehicle #1, a 26-year-old, was traveling north on North 60th Street, when vehicle #1 collided with another vehicle containing one occupant. The driver in vehicle #2, a 31-year-old, was conveyed to a local hospital for injuries sustained during the collision, and was pronounced deceased at the hospital. The driver of vehicle #1 was taken into custody. This investigation is ongoing. Charges are pending review by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
