Milwaukee Police Investigate Daytime Shooting on W Cherry Street; Suspect Sought
Milwaukee Police are investigating a non-fatal shooting that occurred Sunday, August 2, 2026, at approximately 10:36 a.m., on the 3900 block of W Cherry Street. The victim, a 26-year-old, sustained injuries from a gunshot and was treated for those injuries at a local hospital. The circumstances leading up to the shooting are under investigation. Milwaukee Police continue to seek a known suspect.
