Milwaukee NARI Bestows Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year and Local Achievement Awards

Milwaukee NARI is an elite association of the best home improvement and remodeling professionals and those in businesses who are affiliated with the industry.

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee NARI, promoting professionalism in the home remodeling industry and fostering consumer confidence for more than 55 years, presented the 2017 Local Achievement Awards and Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year Awards Fri., Jan. 12, at the association’s Awards Night held at The InterContinental Hotel in Milwaukee, Wis.

Local Achievement Awards are presented to association members in recognition of their achievements and commitment to the organization. Several of the awards are presented in honor of former Milwaukee NARI members who had significant achievements within the industry and community. The winners of the 2017 Milwaukee  Local Achievement Awards were as follows:

  • Gordy Ziglinski “Spirit of Education” Award – acknowledges excellence in training and education in the industry in general, and Milwaukee NARI in particular: Nick Schliepp, CRS, CRPM, of Allrite Home & Remodeling, Inc. in Milwaukee.
  • Mary Fox-Hagner Lifetime Achievement Award – recognizing the association’s executive director from 1993-2005, this award is bestowed on a person who has been in the remodeling industry for at least 20 years and a member of NARI for at least seven years: Nick Kerzner, MCR, CKBR, of Kerzner Remodeling & Construction in Oconomowoc.
  • Government Affairs Award – honors a member who has actively pursued the legislative interests of the professional remodeling industry: Chris Egner, MCR, CKBR, UDCP, CRPM, CCP, of Four Seasons Sunrooms/Chris Egner Design-Build-Remodel in New Berlin.
  • Professionalism Award – recognizes a person who has shown exceptional devotion, dedication, and accomplishment to the home improvement and remodeling industry through efforts to promote NARI as a professional organization on the local level while at the same time serving as a tremendous resource for the community: Ken Connor, CR, of Connor Remodeling & Design, Inc. in Menomonee Falls.
  • Distributor of the Year – honors a member company that has demonstrated a strong commitment to NARI, to the remodeling industry, and to the community: Schluter Systems in Edgerton.
  • Bill Bobrowitz Image Award – acknowledges an individual or organization that has contributed to the enhancement of the remodeling industry’s image: Brillo Home Improvements, Inc. of Milwaukee.
  • Media Outlet of the Year – recognizes a media organization that assists Milwaukee NARI in its effort to provide home improvement and remodeling resources to consumers throughout the area while enhancing the association’s image and community presence: Clear Channel Outdoor of Pewaukee.
  • Affiliate Organization of the Year – presented to a member company not directly in the home improvement and remodeling industry that has supported the local association in its business activities and has enhanced its operations: Media Link Consulting LLC in Dousman.

The awards program also featured the presentation of the 2017 Wisconsin Remodeler of the Year Awards to Milwaukee NARI members in the following categories:
