For its 19-20 Concert Season, Milwaukee Musaik returns to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music for chamber music performances on March 2 and May 11, and a special Chamber Orchestra performance at the Woman’s Club of Wisconsin on April 9. Distinguished for its unusual programming and stellar musician roster drawn from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and renowned chamber ensembles, Milwaukee Musaik juxtaposes timeless classics with the new and unfamiliar.

We open Milwaukee Musaik’s season with Dusk to Dawn commemorating works by long-living composers and celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founder of the wind-quintet genre and Beethoven’s close friend, Anton Reicha.

Don’t miss our Clazzical Chamber Orchestra concert! Yes, we will perform jazz, a Russian jazz piano concerto by Nikolai Kapustin. We welcome Spanish pianist Daniel del Pino for the American chamber premiere of Kapustin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 “JAZZ”. We will also spotlight Musaik virtuosi artists; flautist Heather Zinninger Yarmel, and harpist Kelsey Molinari as soloists in Mozart’s exquisite Concerto for Flute & Harp.

In our season closer Folk Tones, Musaik artists will perform an unforgettable smorgasbord of folk-inspired works ranging from American spirituals and jazz/ragtime to Asian and Hebraic tones. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Florence Price’s Five Folk Songs and Bohuslav Martinu’s thrilling Chamber Music No. 1 Sextet.

It is our sincere wishes for you to join us during our diverse musical season.
