Milwaukee Municipal Court Appoints Part-Time Commissioners
For the term beginning May 1, 2014, the Milwaukee Municipal Court has appointed new part-time commissioners.
For the term beginning May 1, 2014, the Milwaukee Municipal Court has appointed Peter J. Arnold, Eloisa De León, Edward M. Ehrlich, and Robert E. Webb, Jr. as part-time Commissioners.
As part-time Commissioners their duties will include presiding over some pre-trial hearings and building and zoning arraignments, as well as managing the in-custody calendar which rosters pre-judgment and post-judgment cases of municipal ordinance violators.
Mr. Arnold is a graduate of Marquette University Law School and founded Arnold Law Offices. He has extensive experience representing individuals in Municipal Court, Juvenile and Family Court.
Ms De León is a graduate of Drake Law School and partner at Christopher & De León Law Office. She has experience with municipal work in Milwaukee, having previously served as an assistant city attorney.
Mr. Ehrlich is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School. Having recently retired from the City Attorney’s office, he has extensive experience with municipal issues in Milwaukee.
Mr. Webb is a graduate of Marquette University Law School and founded Webb Law Firm, LLC. He has a wealth of experience as a defense attorney, in both criminal and civil litigation.
Presiding Judge Phillip M. Chavez said he was very pleased with the caliber of all of the candidates who sought the appointment, and noted: “I was delighted to learn that so many excellent candidates were interested in serving as a court commissioner. I am thrilled by the skills and experience the four appointees will bring to the Municipal Court.”
