(MILWAUKEE, WI) – The Milwaukee Board of School Directors takes this matter seriously and will work diligently to address it in an effective manner, including updating the public as we are able.

The District is working closely with our auditors and the Department of Public Instruction to complete all documents and reports necessary as required by law. Separately, the Board has engaged other outside assistance to investigate and make recommendations regarding accountability for these financial and related matters.

The Board has insisted upon a thorough, expedited, and timely investigation.
