MCTS Offers Service To and From Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital

Freeway Flyer service on Route 44 begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs approximately every 15 minutes until 9:30 a.m. from the State Fair Park-Ride Lot at S. 76th Street and W. Kearney Street.

The Milwaukee County Transit System (MCTS) offers an easy way to get to and from Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, on Saturday, Sept.14.

Freeway Flyer service on Route 44 begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs approximately every 15 minutes until 9:30 a.m. from the State Fair Park-Ride Lot at S. 76th Street and W. Kearney Street. Buses will take riders to 16th Street and Wisconsin Avenue — just a few blocks from the starting line at 12th Street and Wisconsin Avenue.

Return-Trip riders will board buses from the South Gate near the American Family Insurance Amphitheater at Henry Maier Festival Park between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. Return trips run approximately every 15 minutes. Parking is free at the State Fair Park-Ride Lot.

DISCOUNTED: Children (ages 6-11), seniors (65 and over) and persons with disabilities. Children under 6 ride free when accompanied by an adult.

Riders must pay the full amount of fare when boarding Route 44 to the starting line. Exact fare is required. The U-PASS, the GO Pass with a $2-Day Pass, the New Freedom Pass and the Commuter Value Pass are also accepted as full fare on Freeway Flyers.

Various other Local MCTS routes serving downtown Milwaukee can also be used to get to the starting line. Regular fares apply for those routes.
