Mayor Names New Chief of Staff
MILWAUKEE— Mayor Tom Barrett today announced Jodie Tabak as his new chief of staff. She replaces Paul Vornholt who will become the city administrator for Racine.
“Jodie has been an integral part of my administration since I assumed office. She has demonstrated leadership on key issues and initiatives. I value her instincts and her commitment to public service,” said Mayor Tom Barrett.
Tabak is the current director of communications and public engagement. Prior to that, she was the special assistant to the Mayor. She has served as project lead on several high profile Barrett Administration initiatives, including the Mayor’s Mission to China, the Bloomberg Mayor’s Challenge, the White House’s Healthy Communities Challenge, which led to a visit by President Obama, and most recently, the Democratic National Convention.
Vornholt’s last day will be February 26.
