Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt invites residents to attend tomorrow’s Bike & Play Fest (Saturday, June 29) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MMSD West Basin, 4350 N. 35th St.

Hosted by the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation (NWSCDC), Bike & Play Fest is free to attend and will include free food from local vendors (while supplies last), free bike repairs by DreamBikes, kids’ games (soccer, bag toss, Imagination Playground, potato sack races, and more), and bike safety workshop/lessons by MKE REC.

“Bike & Play Fest is a family-friendly event that will feature a hands-on chalk mural and other art activities, chances to win free kids’ bikes, face painting, giveaways, music, and several organizations offering resources,” Alderwoman Pratt said. “It looks to be a fun and positive time, and I strongly encourage neighbors to come out tomorrow to this great event.”

The Alderwoman said anyone looking to ride their bike to the Bike & Play Fest can join Nearby Nature’s Lincoln Creek Bike & Hike at 10 am tomorrow at Havenwoods State Forest. The route will end at the West Basin so riders can enjoy the Bike & Play Fest.

Bike & Play Fest will be held in light to moderate rain but will be postponed if there is heavy rain or storms.
