Make Music Milwaukee Returns on June 21
Free Music Making Events to be Held across City as Part of Annual Global Celebration
Milwaukee, 6/17/24 – Make Music Milwaukee will return for its 8th year of free musical events and activities across the greater Milwaukee area on Friday, June 21. Make Music Milwaukee is part of Make Music Day, a global music celebration that takes place on the summer solstice each year and brings people of all ages and skill levels together to make music. This year over 100 U.S. cities and 26 Wisconsin cities will host Make Music performances across the country as part of the world’s largest annual music event.
This year, Make Music Milwaukee will feature over 40 events ranging from performances to jam sessions. Highlights of Make Music Milwaukee will include:
- Music all afternoon at Hart Park, concluding with: Sousapalooza (instrumentalists of all ages welcome to sign up) – a concert band jam session at the Hart Park Rotary Stage
- 3 Instrument Petting Zoos with Brass Bell Music Store (at MPL Villard, Betty Brinn Children’s Museum, and Shorewood Library) where kids can try out instruments for fun and for free!
- A Bluegrass Jam session at the Beulah Brinton House in Bayview
- Performances all day, throughout the greater Milwaukee area, starting at 11am and concluding at 10pm!
