Alderman Lamont Westmoreland is inviting the community to attend the Make Art MKE event happening this Sunday, September 8 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Mount Mary University, 2900 Menomonee River Pkwy.

This year’s event will feature more than 160 artists and makers displaying everything from fine art to handmade goods, local food trucks, a café lounge, and more. Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door, and kids 12 and under are free. A portion of the proceeds will support programming at the Milwaukee German Immersion School and improvements at nearby Cooper Park. Additional information can be found by visiting https://www.recraftandrelic.com/makeartmke.

“Make Art MKE stepped up and took the torch for the former Starving Artists’ Show, and was a huge success last year as it highlighted a wide array of art and supported the surrounding community. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, and I encourage fans of all things local and artistic to stop by the showcase this Sunday,” said Alderman Westmoreland.
