Mail Not Being Delivered To Some Northwest Side Residences
It has come to my attention after receiving numerous calls that several 9th District residents have not received their mail from the USPS over the past week. One resident reported that she went in person to pick up her mail and was told that it was ‘out for delivery.’ She expressed concern that she will incur late fees for bills that she has not received and that her husband’s medication will not reach him on time.
Residents who have been impacted by slow/non-delivery are in the 53223 and 53224 ZIP codes, with the majority located in the 53223 ZIP code. I was also made aware by the Brown Deer Village president that many of her residents have been impacted as well, as the Village of Brown Deer shares the 53223 ZIP code.
This is unacceptable, and I am calling on the Postal Service to call in extra staff immediately to tackle this mail delivery backlog affecting our neighborhoods. In the year of our Lord 2026, this simply cannot occur.
