BLACK EARTH, WIS. – Today, local elected official Dylan Helmenstine’s campaign reported raising a total of $43,339 from 165 contributions on its January Continuing Report and reports having $36,239 cash on hand. As a candidate in the Democratic Primary for Wisconsin State Treasurer, this fundraising success allowed the Helmenstine campaign to surpass its 2025 end-of-year fundraising goal, signaling a serious, people-powered effort backed by Wisconsinites who want transparent, accountable government and community-first leadership.

The campaign’s impressive start comes just seven weeks after Helmenstine announced his run at a launch event that drew more than 250 attendees.

“Support like this means we can take our message directly to communities across the state,” said Dylan Helmenstine. “We’re building something people want to be a part of, a campaign that is focused on moving forward, fixing broken systems, and advocating for a government that works for the people.”

This early fundraising momentum reflects rapid grassroots growth and support from donors who believe in Helmenstine’s vision to make government work for all Wisconsinites. Contributions come from communities across Wisconsin, highlighting broad support for Helmenstine’s priority of ensuring government works for the people of Wisconsin, so families, schools, and communities have the support they need to thrive.

Helmenstine brings extensive hands-on experience in public service and fiscal oversight. He serves on the Wisconsin Heights School Board, the Village Board of Black Earth, and as President of the Dane County District 1 EMS Board. He also holds multiple statewide board appointments and previously worked as a financial analyst for Wisconsin Medicaid programs.

With early momentum and growing grassroots support, Helmenstine’s campaign is expanding its outreach across Wisconsin to engage voters, listen to local concerns, and build a people-powered coalition committed to accountable leadership and financial systems that work for everyone.

The Wisconsin State Treasurer primary election will take place on August 11, 2026, and the general election is on November 3, 2026.
