FOX POINT – Liz Sumner, candidate for the 1st District of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors, today issued the following statement:

“I am honored to have earned the support from County Supervisors Jason Haas, Marina Dimitrijevic, and Sheldon Wasserman. I’m running to work on the issues that have always mattered the most to our community, from maintaining our public transit to improving our public parks. From Brown Deer to Fox Point, I’m ready to get to work on the Milwaukee County Board by earning the support of voters the same way I have earned the support of these hardworking public servants.”

Haas stated, “Liz has proven herself to be a leader in her community and has stepped up to fight for her neighbors. Her advocacy for our shared public spaces is why we need her on the board. As chairman of the Parks, Energy & Environment Committee, I’m excited to work with her on improving our public parks and parkways across Milwaukee County.”

Dimitrijevic stated, “I’ve always been an advocate for improving the quality of life across Milwaukee County, which is why we need a smart and dedicated woman like Liz to serve on the board to use her current experiences in public service and as a business owner to create a stronger County and work to improve the services we all depend on, in every municipality.”

Wasserman stated, “Our County needs a real vision to solve some of our greatest challenges. I’m supporting Liz to represent the 1st District because her constituents deserve a strong and dedicated leader to be their voice in the coming years ahead.”

Liz Sumner is a resident of Fox Point, a small business owner, a current member of the Fox Point Village Board, mother of two young children, and is running to represent the 1st District of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors in the general election on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
