You are invited to attend a public information meeting to review and provide feedback on the conceptual alternatives being considered.

The Lakefront Gateway project is a unique collaboration among the City of Milwaukee, State of Wisconsin and Milwaukee County to create a Gateway, and to establish better connections to the lakefront, downtown Milwaukee and the Historic Third Ward.

The meeting will be held in an open house format allowing participants to view concepts and provide feedback for the proposed improvements including:

  • The removal, realignment and reconstruction of the eastbound I-794 exit ramp to North Lincoln Memorial Drive and the westbound I-794 entrance from North Lincoln Memorial Drive;
  • The reconstruction of city streets including East Clybourn Street (East Van Buren Street to North Lincoln Memorial Drive) and the reconfiguration and reconstruction of both North Harbor Drive and North Lincoln Memorial Drive from East Michigan Street to East Chicago Street.

January 22nd

  1. Diane M Buck says:

    I certainly hope you are including the interesting and environmentally sensitive plan for this area by Mark and Linda Keane.

  2. Kyle says:

    It would be nice if you didn’t have to download a file to figure out what date the meeting is (Wednesday, January 22nd).

  3. Dave Reid says:

    @Diane It is a city public meeting (not an event we’re holding). And no I don’t believe they will include the Keane idea.
