Lakefront Brewery Partners with Milwaukee Diaper Mission to Fight Period Poverty
Donate unopened period supplies and receive Lakefront cash to spend in their Beer Hall.

MILWAUKEE (August 15th, 2023) – On Sunday, August 27th from 11AM to 4PM, Lakefront will be hosting a period drive, offering $.25 of gift card credit for each individual disposable tampon, pad, or liner. Lakefront is joining Milwaukee Diaper Mission in their goal to end period poverty in Milwaukee. “Period products are a necessity, not a luxury, menstruators shouldn’t struggle to obtain these items,” says Meagan Johnson, Founder of Milwaukee Diaper Mission, “we want to help put an end to that struggle here in the greater Milwaukee area.”
Milwaukee Diaper Mission is a basic needs bank. They partner with local social service agencies to provide a reliable source of essentials, including period supplies. Two in five menstruators have struggled to purchase period products in the past year due to lack of income. Milwaukee Diaper Mission utilizes a distribution model that is efficient and cost-effective, ensuring that period supplies get into the hands of the people that need them most.
Stop through Lakefront on Sunday, August 27th from 11AM to 4PM with as many unopened period supplies you are able to donate. For your donation, Lakefront will hand over a Lakefront gift card loaded with cash to spend in their Beer Hall that day or any day in the future. They will give $.25 (25 cents) per individual disposable item with no limit to the amount you can donate.
