Lake Freeway/Hoan Bridge update

More overnight closures of I-794 West (northbound)

By - Feb 24th, 2015 10:25 am

As part of the I-794 Lake Freeway / Hoan Bridge project, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation continues work on the Hoan Bridge. Throughout the remainder of the project, full overnight closures of I-794 West (northbound) will be occurring more regularly.

Due to the close proximity of the work zone to Lake Michigan, this stage of construction presents limited access to the bridge. These overnight closures will allow construction crews to maximize access to the work zone by providing adequate room to set up the necessary equipment and complete work from atop the I-794 West (northbound) lanes.

Overnight closures of I-794 West (northbound) will typically occur from 10pm-5am and will span from Carferry Drive to Lincoln Memorial Drive. Please note that the Carferry entrance ramp to I-794 West (northbound) will also close during the overnight closures.
