Kick-start the New Year at MOTOR™ this January
There’s plenty of fun and good food to be had at MOTOR this month.
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 3, 2019) – Make a resolution this new year to stop by MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant, located on the Harley-Davidson Museum® campus, and enjoy a winter-time classic like Chicken Pot Pie or join in fun festivities. From a party fit for the King to the return of the Monster BBQ Pit Burger, there’s plenty of fun and good food to be had at MOTOR this month.
January highlights include:
Celebrate Elvis’s birthday in style at the H-D Museum™ with special gallery talks, while MOTOR serves up a dessert that the King himself would love. Available on Tuesday, Jan. 8, try a Banana Cream Pie In A Jar that’s drizzled with peanut butter sauce and topped with candied bacon.
Observe the finest arts in Milwaukee as you discover new galleries, explore museums, browse unique shops and much more on Gallery Night, Friday, Jan. 18. As part of the event, the H-D Museum will offer free admission from 5 to 9 p.m. In addition, at MOTOR, you can kick back after a day of sightseeing and refuel with the Friday Night Fish Fry.
Monster Jam and Mitten Drive
Monster Jam roars into the H-D Museum on Friday, Jan. 18 from noon to 1 p.m. just in time for the Milwaukee Public Schools Mitten Drive. Museumgoers can meet drivers, get autographs and receive free admission with a mitten donation. Plus, the first 100 mitten donors will receive a complimentary ticket voucher to that weekend’s Monster Jam Triple Threat Series.
For lunch, fuel up with the Monster BBQ Pit Burger, an eight-ounce, hand-packed patty that’s piled high with four ounces of pulled pork, BBQ sauce and crispy onion strings.
Mac Monday: Throw on an apron and chef’s hat. It’s time to show off your culinary skills and build-your-own Mac n’ Cheese during Mac Monday.
$10 Tuesday: Check out interactive exhibits, visually stunning displays and more at the H-D Museum for just $10 every Tuesday through April. Before you ride off, the juicy, hand-packed MOTOR Burger is right next door and costs only $10!
Wings N’ Things Wednesday: At MOTOR, Wednesdays mean one thing, wings! Every Wednesday, an order of wings gets you a free appetizer. Select from starters like Brisket Nachos, Cheese Curds, Big & Twisted Pretzels, Fried Pickles or Willie G’s Minis.
Thirsty Thursday (5 to 9 p.m.): The city’s best indoor party continues this January with live music, $3 Koozie Beer Specials, exclusive giveaways, craft beer samples and much more.
Friday Night Fish Fry
What’s a Friday night in Wisconsin without a fish fry? At MOTOR, the all-you-can-eat Wisconsin Fish Fry is available open to close and features golden fried cod, crispy French fries, fresh jicama coleslaw, homemade southern-style cornbread and tartar sauce for only $14.95.
BBQ & Blues
Every Saturday, take in live performances from a rotating lineup of blues musicians, plus all-you-can-eat, hickory-smoked BBQ chicken, pulled pork, smoked brisket and grilled sausage links for $29.99. Add an order of Memphis-style, dry-rubbed ribs for just $5 more. All platters come with French fries, jicama coleslaw, BBQ baked beans and made-from-scratch cornbread.
Build-your-own Bloody Mary and dine on a hearty brunch as playoff football starts. Available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., entrées vary from the Veggie Breakfast Sandwich to the Bacon, Egg and Cheese Sandwich or Breakfast Skillet, which combines fried eggs, sautéed onions, mushrooms and peppers with American fries and a drizzle of the house cheese sauce.
Wing of the Month
Maple Bacon Wings: Everything’s better with maple and bacon. For this sweet and savory treat, chefs toss one pound of seasoned, house-made wings in maple syrup, bourbon and bacon drippings, then top them with a generous portion of bacon bits.
Burger of the Month
Quesadilla Burger: Fresh pico de gallo and avocado puree rest atop this eight-ounce, hand-packed patty that’s served on a tortilla bun with melted cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and French fries.
Special of the Month
Chicken Pot Pie: A twist on the winter-time favorite, enjoy a house-made pot pie filling with tender chicken, peas and carrots in a homestyle gravy, plus flaky puff pastry on the side.
Beers of the Month
Hinterland Maple Bock: A touch of Wisconsin syrup in this deep brown-colored brew adds both flavor and slight smokiness for a large, malty mouthfeel.
Hinterland Luna Coffee Stout: Perfected over months of experiments, brewers use toasty malt flavors to balance out the bitter coffee finish.
Hinterland IPA: A mellow malt undertone eases the tension between heavy hops and citrus notes in this brew that pairs well with spicy foods.
Cocktail of the Month
Warm Mulled Wine: Cure your holiday hangover with homemade warm mulled wine that features red wine, oranges, cranberries, cinnamon and cloves.
As the main dining room undergoes a refresh in early-January, grab a bite to eat or cold brew exclusively in the Can Room from Monday, Jan. 7 through Friday, Jan. 11.
