Johnson Statement on Ludwig Nomination to be Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin
WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) said the following Tuesday after the Senate voted to end debate on the nomination of Brett Ludwig to be United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, setting up a final vote for his confirmation on Wednesday:
“I was pleased to recommend and vote for Brett Ludwig today to fill an important judicial vacancy that remained open for far too long. Judges, like Judge Ludwig, who are committed to applying the law as written and not acting like superlegislators from the bench are critical in upholding our system of checks and balances.”
