It’s not an April Fool’s joke, Pizza Man just got cheesier

We’re creating an atmosphere where everyone can be comfortable letting their pizza freak flag fly.

F Street Hospitality is excited to reveal the refresh for their Pizza Man brand. At Pizza Man we’re all about having — and sharing — fun. We’re creating an atmosphere where everyone can be comfortable letting their pizza freak flag fly. So, you’ll start noticing some pretty amazing transformations to our restaurants, from the decor and uniforms, to the menus and to-go boxes, we’re embracing what made Pizza Man special all those years ago and bringing back the funk.

At Pizza Man we make real food, with real names, and have a real good time doing it. We’re excited to bring back the classics like Mike’s Special Smokin’ Ribs, Mussels and the oh-so-famous Escargot. Plus, we’ll be introducing some fresh new items like our Cauliflower Crust and Zucchini Noodles. And since you can’t have Italian comfort food without Lasagna, we’ve added one to the menu that can rival your mom’s recipe. We’re also launching Online Ordering, so fans can now order all their favorites online for Carryout or Delivery.

We don’t take ourselves too seriously, but we’re serious about creating a great experience, no matter how you slice it. Speaking of slices, grab one of the new “Olive You” pizzas and satisfy your love of veggies. Pizza Man is all about being a comfortable, casual, community go-to, where everyone can get a pizza the action.

About Pizza Man
In 1970, Mike Amidzich purchased a small carry-out pizza restaurant that he soon renamed Pizza Man and set off to satisfy the munchies of Milwaukee’s hippy-dippy East Side. Proud to fill the niche by offering pizza delivery service until 4 am, he also gave his unsuspecting customers a free quart of Pepsi with every order to wash down the pizza and quench the cottonmouths of his growing fan base. Soon, word spread of Pizza Man’s incredible pizza, the free quart of Pepsi and late night delivery and business exploded!

Over time Mike integrated his love for Napa Valley wine into the fabric of the restaurant, eventually curating one of the largest domestic wine lists in the Midwest. He even went so far as to offer every single bottle on his list, which at one point featured over 600 different selections, by the glass! In 1989 Pizza Man won its first Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and has continued to receive this prestigious recognition every year since.

To Milwaukee’s horror, on January 18th, 2010, Pizza Man burned to the ground in a tragic fire. In 2012, a small group of Pizza Man fanatics convinced Mike the business that had captured Milwaukeean’s hearts (and stomachs) over the previous 40 years needed to be reborn and our East Side location was built on the corner of Downer and Belleview. Designed by Rinka Chung Architects, the striking building features cozy elements reminiscent of the original location, reclaimed Wisconsin barn wood, a striking and whimsical wine bottle chandelier, and a modern open, airy feel with the addition of a one-of-a-kind second-floor patio experience.

Today, Pizza Man has three locations in southeastern Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, and Oak Creek), and, while Mike is no longer with us, his legacy lives on through our restaurants and in the hearts and memories of the generations of Pizza Man fanatics.
