If Paul Ryan wins reelection he will lose as Speaker, resign November 9, cause special election in Wisconsin
Solen adds that, “continuing to run for reelection knowing that resigning is likely to happen immediately after Election Day is just playing politics and is not looking out for the people you represent.”
Mount Pleasant, WI- Paul Ryan is in trouble- and so is Wisconsin.
On Forbes.com today it was reported that the House Freedom Caucus is “seriously considering doing to Ryan what it did to former Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) by threatening him with a privileged motion to vacate the chair. If a majority of the House supported the motion, Ryan would be removed immediately as speaker.”
Though not savvy enough to overcome the turmoil of the Donald Trump campaign, the unrelenting Bannon/Breitbart media attacks, and the House Republican Rebellion, Paul Ryan is savvy enough to look out for his own political future and, with an eye on the presidency in 2020, if he is reelected on November 8, he knows his days as speaker are numbered and will likely resign from Congress on November 9.
Ryan Solen is committed to fairness even when scheduling a debate between the two candidates. Because Paul Ryan never responded to Solen’s repeated requests to debate since both candidates won their respective primaries, Solen has planned a debate for this Saturday, October 29, from 2PM to 4PM at Blackhawk Technical College in Paul Ryan’s hometown of Janesville. The event is open to both the public and the media. Paul Ryan’s campaign was hand delivered an invitation and, though they have responded publicly via the media that they are considering attending, neither Ryan Solen nor anyone on his campaign has received a response. It has been six days since the invitation was extended.
