MILWAUKEE, November 23, 2019 — humor essayist Kimmy Dee will be at the Voyageur Bookshop in Milwaukee on Saturday, November 23 between 11am-2pm to meet fans and sign copies of her debut collection Pussy Planet and Other Endearing Tales:

“This is Kimmy Dee. This is Kimmy Dee’s brain. You’ve been warned. By turns hysterically filthy and heartbreakingly sincere, Pussy Planet chronicles snapshots of the life of an irreverent woman. From an unintentionally foul-mouthed offspring to masturbation mishaps to living with an anxiety disorder to the loss of a parent, Pussy Planet is an insightful and ridiculously funny collection of personal essays from a writer with a totally unique – and screwed-up – view of the world. This is Kimmy Dee’s Pussy Planet, we’re only along for the ride.”

“Kimmy Dee effortlessly passes herself off as an unhinged genius. Pussy Planet is a bombardment of truth bombs, which often blow up—hilariously—right in Dee’s own face. Combining the satirical, the heartfelt, and the odd yeast infection, Dee couches the struggles of womanhood, motherhood, and bereavement inside one of the wittiest little memoirs you’re ever going to read”—Lance Pototchnik, author of The Shell of a Person

“With a voice that’s casually quippy and knowingly sarcastic, Kimmy Dee brings the reader along as she traverses life events large and small, building narrative in self-aware—but not self-conscious —essays reminiscent of the best of that period we might one day call ‘peak blog.’”—Rachel Z. Arndt, author of Beyond Measure

“Kimmy Dee writes with such racy humor and honesty, it leaves me simultaneously hysterically laughing, a little jealous, and really very terrified.”—Rob Hart, author of The Warehouse

Kimmy’s short story Asylum was featured in the 2019 collection Strangers in a Strange Land: Immigrants Stories alongside Derringer Award winning writer Patricia Abbott and Star Trek alum Walter Koenig. She’s had works published in,, The Dirty Pool, Pulp Metal Magazine, and her short story Dolls of Disaster was featured in the collection Crappy Shorts: Dueces Wild, edited by C.G. Baur.

Former contributor to, Kimmy also wrote a regular column reviewing terrible horror films for, aptly titled Kimmy Karnage’s Turds of Terror.
