Milwaukee – The Hop, presented by Potawatomi Hotel & Casino, is inviting the entire community to join together to celebrate the culmination of a historic first year of service. The streetcar system has already welcomed over 750,000 riders since the Nov. 2, 2018 launch, providing new connections for residents and visitors alike to countless Milwaukee residential, employment and entertainment destinations.

To help wish the system a very hoppy birthday, the community is invited to gather in Cathedral Square Park next Friday, Nov. 1 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. After remarks from Mayor Tom Barrett and Potawatomi Hotel & Casino CEO Rodney Ferguson to highlight and celebrate a successful first year of service, guests will be treated to free birthday cake and cupcakes, coffee and hot chocolate courtesy of the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino’s Pastry Team, Classy Girl Cupcakes and Colectivo. 88.9 Radio Milwaukee’s Dori Zori will also be on hand spinning music, while The Hop tent will be set up with free Hop stickers, buttons and a limited number of free T-shirts.
