Hayat Pharmacy to Celebrate New Walker Square Location With Community Wellness Event Aug. 20
Milwaukee, Wis. — Hayat Pharmacy will celebrate the opening of its Walker Square location on Thursday, Aug. 20, with a community wellness event highlighting expanded access to pharmacy services and health care resources on Milwaukee’s Near South Side. The event will bring together neighbors, community leaders and local partners while helping residents prepare for the back-to-school season and fall vaccine season.
The celebration will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at approximately 10:15 a.m. Media interview opportunities with Hayat Pharmacy leadership and participating elected officials will be available from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The community wellness event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hayat Pharmacy, 1238 S. 16th St.
The event will include free health screenings, pharmacy wellness consultations and back-to-school and seasonal wellness supply kits for children, while supplies last. Families will also receive seasonal wellness education, including information about preventive care and recommended vaccinations, including flu vaccines.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will celebrate the opening of Hayat Pharmacy’s 17th location, with participation from community members, partners and local leaders.
Hayat Pharmacy Founder and CEO Hashim Zaibak will be available for media interviews. Milwaukee Common Council President José G. Pérez and Wisconsin state Rep. Sylvia Ortiz-Velez will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony and will also be available for interviews.
Area residents, business owners, health care providers, community organizations and community leaders are invited to attend the celebration.
