Grassroots North Shore to Host Immigration Event Sunday, April 29
Presenters and the audience will consider the past, present, and future of immigration in the United States.
Wave after wave of immigrants arrived in America with one unifying drive; they came to improve their lives and the lives of their children. They would have to earn what this country had to offer, but together they helped build and contribute to their new homeland.
This motivation and hope holds true today with current new arrivals, even those who have been denied entrance. Presenters and the audience will consider the past, present, and future of immigration in the United States at the event to be held on Sunday, April 29 at North Shore Presbyterian Church, 4048 N. Bartlett Avenue, Shorewood. Ethnic food offerings will be shared.
The doors open at 4:30 and the program will be held from 4:45 to 7:15 PM.
Grassroots North Shore is the largest, all-volunteer progressive organization in Wisconsin.
