To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers signed a $19.8 million contract to resurface I-94/I-43 from north of the Mitchell Interchange to south of the Marquette Interchange, in Milwaukee County. As part of the project, various bridge deck surface treatments will also be included along the corridor.
Night work is scheduled to begin the week of April 4, weather permitting. Minor prep work activity may take place in the evenings leading up to the project. Payne & Dolan, Inc. is the prime contractor for the project and will implement the following:

- Bridge deck surface treatments including thin polymer overlays and deck sealing along 19 structures

- Weekend single-lane closures utilized from mid-April until mid-May to reconstruct storm sewer inlets.
- Inside lane closed in each direction from 11pm Friday until 5:30am Monday
