Gov. Evers Seeks Applicants for Douglas County District Attorney
MADISON—Gov. Tony Evers announced today that he is seeking applicants for Douglas County District Attorney. The appointment will fill a vacancy being created by District Attorney Mark Fruehauf’s resignation, effective Aug. 22, 2026. The new district attorney will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2029.
To apply, please email a completed application form and supporting materials to GovDAapp@wisconsin.gov. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Mon., July 27, 2026.
