This time of year, there’s no such thing as “too much.” Indulge your senses at the Concord Chamber Orchestra’s Christmas Dinner concert.
On Saturday, December 6, 2014 at 8 p.m., the Concord Chamber Orchestra will present CHRISTMAS DINNER, the second concert of its 2014-2015 season (A Musical Buffet) . The concert will be held at the Basilica of St. Josaphat in Milwaukee and is sponsored in part by Colectivo Coffee Roasters.
The Concord Chamber Orchestra welcomes Amelia Spierer, Kristen DiNinno, Matthew Richardson, and Timothy Rebers, vocal soloists, and the Concord Chamber Chorus to perform a sing along version of TheMessiah (part 1) by Handel. On Friday, December 5, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., the Concord Chamber Orchestra will present a free, open rehearsal at the Basilica of St. Josaphat. See how an orchestra works to take printed music from the page to the live performance.
The complete repertoire for both evening includes:

- Concerto Grosso No. 12 in d minor (“La Follia”) by Francesco Geminiani
- Two Chorale Preludes by Johann Sebastian Bach
- Winter BonfireSuite by Sergei Prokofiev
- The Messiah (part 1) by George Frideric Handel
Founded in 1975, the Concord Chamber Orchestra is an all-volunteer group of approximately 50 musicians from a variety of professions and backgrounds. Audiences enjoy smaller, more intimate settings than with most orchestras our size, and an affordable ticket price. The repertoire is carefully chosen for each concert with the goals of offering selections the audience will recognize and introducing them to unfamiliar and engaging works.
