Girls Rock MKE’s Ladies Rock Camp Showcase to be Held at Radio Milwaukee Studios, Sunday 6/22

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin, June 4, 2025 – The public is invited to cheer on fun and empowering performances from Girls Rock MKE’s adult Ladies Rock Camp Session 2 campers on Sunday, June 22, 2025. This family-friendly event will be held at Radio Milwaukee Studios (220 E. Pittsburgh Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53204) at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.).

“This is the 10-year anniversary of Ladies Rock Camp, and having our camp showcases at the beautiful Radio Milwaukee Studios delivers an elevated and celebratory performance experience that meets the moment,” says Executive Director, Mary Joy Hickey, who helped to found Girls Rock MKE’s Ladies Rock Camp in 2015 and is back at the helm for the first time since 2019. “It is incredible to see how Ladies Rock Camp has grown since 2015. We are offering a second session for the first time ever this year. In these uncertain times, I believe we’re serving a deep need for community building and creative release.”

Six brand new camper bands will play one song each. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased in advance or at the door on the day of the event (kids 10 and under get in free!).

Girls Rock MKE’s Ladies Rock Camp is a three-day music education experience for women and gender-expansive adults ages 18+. Adult campers of all skill levels learn an instrument (guitar, bass, drums, or vocals), form a band, write a song, and perform their song on stage at an end-of-camp showcase for friends, family, and fans.

The mission of Girls Rock MKE is to empower individuals of marginalized identities and diverse experiences through music education and performance.
