Frida Fest Milwaukee July 9th & 10th aims to promote Latino artists in South Eastern Wisconsin
By highlighting the works of the icon Frida Kahlo in a two-day interactive cultural art festival
Entrance to the festival is free. The whole family is welcome. The festival will feature local artisan vendors with unique Frida-inspired works, a Frida-inspired garden (Casa Azul Garden), a Frida Art Museum with popular work, a timeline of her life, and a Re-cap of “Voices of Frida”, a short documentary featuring local Frida inspired folk. The festival will also feature Frida-themed painting classes, Interactive art and photo booths for fun pictures, food vendors, and live performances.
Owners of the Farmhouse Paint & Sip & Chucho’s Red Tacos, Enrique and Thaime Nañez, are longtime Milwaukeean allies, with involvement as business professionals, volunteers in the community, and work with nonprofits.
