MILWAUKEE — Ian Abston, president of Hoan Group, and Michael Hostad, executive director of Innovation in Milwaukee, will be featured guests during an upcoming virtual “On the Issues with Mike Gousha,” Wednesday, Jan. 13.

The video will be available at 12:15 p.m. on the Marquette University Law School website.

Abston and Hostad co-founded Forward 48, a regional leadership development program. The aim of Forward 48 is to build a robust and diverse civic leadership succession strategy through experiential learning, professional development, and networking opportunities. Abston and Hostad will be joined in the conversation by participants from the inaugural class, who will discuss their experience. The discussion will also touch on other civic projects Abston and Hostad have undertaken, including the recent effort to light the Hoan Bridge.

The virtual “On the Issues” is available to members of the general public.

Through public programming such as the Marquette Law School Poll, debates featuring candidates in significant political races, Gousha’s “On the Issues” conversations with newsmakers, public lectures by leading scholars, conferences on significant issues of public importance and the work of its Lubar Center for Public Policy Research and Civic Education, the Law School serves as the region’s leading venue for serious civil discourse about law and public policy matters.
