Fitzgerald Votes to Pass FY25 National Defense Authorization Act
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement after voting to pass H.R. 8070, the Servicemember Quality of Life and National Defense Authorization Act of Fiscal Year 2025.
“The National Defense Authorization Act continues to be one of the most important legislative priorities that I vote for as a member of Congress, and this year was no exception,” said Rep. Fitzgerald. “The NDAA for FY25 improves servicemembers’ quality of life, restores deterrence and the focus of our military—rejecting the social progressivism we’ve seen pushed by the left, and deters one of our largest adversaries, China. We’re bringing back military promotions based on merit, not DEI. We’re raising junior enlisted servicemembers pay by over 19%. And we’re investing in innovative technologies to keep our military at the forefront of the latest advancements. Bottom line, this bill puts America first, and those who bravely defend our country.”
