First Stage announces Free Class Day

First Stage to hold day-long open house featuring free acting classes for students, free Danceworks classes for parents, and special registration offers

Milwaukee, WI – Students in grades K5-12 and their families are invited to join First Stage for a free Academy class on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center located at 325 W. Walnut Street, Milwaukee. Classes will take place at 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. and will last 45 minutes. Classes will be divided by age level and will offer students a chance to experience the excitement of a First Stage Academy class including Acting, Musical Theater, Improvisation, and Storytelling.

Planned in collaboration with Danceworks, parents will have the option to take a free Adult Danceworks Class while the kids are participating in acting class: Salsa (1:00 p.m.), Cardio (2:00 p.m.), and Hip Hop (3:00 p.m.).

After class students will present the skills they learned, followed by and a brief Q&A session led by First Stage Teaching Artists. Onsite registration and discounts for First Stage’s Winter, Spring and popular Spring Break Academy classes will be available to new families during the event.

Families are asked to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your desired class time, and wear clothing and shoes that allow for comfort and movement.
