Fox Point  – On Saturday, September 14th at 2:00 PM Wisconsin Music Ventures will host a free small-scale outdoor concert at Doctors Park, located at 1870 E. Fox Lane. The Milwaukee area’s North Point Brass Quintet will perform at the north end of the park, near the Schlitz Audobon Nature Center – on the way to the beach. Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs/blankets for seating, as well as picnic food or beverages. Walking or biking to the event is encouraged!

The North Point Brass Quintet was founded as a ceremonial ensemble in 2013 by some of the top brass players from the Milwaukee and Chicago area. Their repertoire includes classical masterpieces, Dixieland, Broadway, Patriotic, holiday and sacred music that reflect both the versatility of our players and the many directions that brass quintet music reaches.

North Point Brass Quintet members are as follows:

Amongst themselves they have performed with the New York Philharmonic, Arkansas Symphony, Milwaukee Symphony, Green Bay Symphony, Festival City Symphony, Racine Symphony, Kenosha Symphony and Madison Symphonies. In addition to maintaining busy performance schedules covering classical, jazz, Latin and Broadway styles, they are involved in music education; both through curricular and extra-curricular school programs and through private lesson instruction at Lakeland College, the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, Brass Bell Music Store, Be Sound Music Studio, J.S. Cable Music Studio and White House of Music.

Their performances have brought them to many churches including Fox Point Lutheran, The Basilica of St. Josaphat, The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, Gesu Parish, All Saints Cathedral, and many universities including University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Marquette University, St. Norbert College, Wisconsin Lutheran College, Mount Mary College, University of Wisconsin-Parkside, Alverno College and Concordia University.

The mission of Wisconsin Music Ventures is as follows: Motivating musicians and audiences to experience inspiring performance environments by partnering with unlikely local destinations.

Wisconsin Music Ventures Includes:

  • “Find Us” Concert Series Free small-scale concerts featuring a solo musician or small ensemble, held in lesser-used outdoor park areas – open to the public
