Fatal Crash Ends Milwaukee Police Pursuit; Suspect at Large

Milwaukee Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit that occurred on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025, at approximately 7:40pm, in the 6000 block of W. Meinecke Ave. MPD officers observed a vehicle wanted for a recent non-fatal shooting. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver refused and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended when the driver of the fleeing vehicle struck another vehicle traveling west on W. Center Street. The driver of the vehicle traveling on W. Center Street suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced on the scene. The driver of the fleeing vehicle fled on foot and was not apprehended. Police continue to search for a known suspect.
