About Eat Pretty Please
Founded by Monica Hidalgo — a trained chef, immigrant entrepreneur, and mom of two — Eat Pretty Please is a food and wellness brand designed to help families rediscover the joy of cooking, connection, and healthy habits through creative, inclusive experiences.
The brand was born from one clear truth: kids don’t need to be “tricked” into eating healthy — they need to be invited into the kitchen. In a world overwhelmed by fast food, picky eating, and stressed-out parents, Monica saw a major gap: no one was teaching kids how to truly connect with food — to explore, experiment, taste, and create. Meanwhile, parents were left repeating the same battles at every meal.
With her culinary background, deep love for nutrition, and real-life parenting experience, Monica created Eat Pretty Please as a colorful, playful, and pressure-free space where kids can build confidence while building meals.
The Mission
Eat Pretty Please empowers families with simple, beautiful, nutrient-dense recipes — while helping kids see cooking not as a chore, but as a life skill, a form of creativity, and a path to well-being. This is more than a food brand — it’s a lifestyle movement grounded in joy, education, and personal responsibility.
“When kids take ownership of their plates,” says Monica, “they also take ownership of their health.”
