(WISCONSIN) — In response to Donald Trump’s announced visit to Wisconsin next Thursday, DPW Veterans Caucus Chair David Boetcher released the following statement:
“Whether he’s threatening to slash funding for Wisconsin’s Truax Field to pay for his wall, defanging loan protections for veterans, or insulting Gold Star families, Trump has broken his promises to veterans and our military. This trip is another desperate distraction from a president haunted by his failed coronavirus response and a toxic economic agenda that gave a handout to rich corporations while leaving Wisconsin families to face 12% unemployment. Wisconsinites look forward to replacing him with a fierce advocate for servicemembers and their families in Vice President Joe Biden.”
