DNR Reminds Anglers That Musky Season Closes Statewide Dec. 31

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds anglers that the 2024 open water musky fishing season will close statewide on Dec. 31. Anglers are also reminded that musky may not be targeted through the ice at any time.
Anglers can use the DNR’s Quality Waters webpage to find trophy-class musky opportunities near them.
The season will reopen in the southern zone on May 3, 2025 and in the northern zone on May 24, 2025.
