Dive into Perks! Parks Hosts Lifeguard Training for the 2025 Season with Exciting Incentives
Milwaukee, WI – Milwaukee County Parks is excited to have its recruitment process underway for the 2025 summer season’s lifeguard team. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are ready to make a significant impact in our community while enjoying a rewarding work environment.
Dive Into Perks: Exciting Benefits for Milwaukee County Parks Lifeguards! Milwaukee County Parks, in partnership with community partners and Milwaukee Parks Foundation, is excited to announce 2025 incentives for individuals who will be joining our lifeguard team for the upcoming season.
New recruits to our lifeguard team will receive:

- Complimentary Tickets to Summerfest: Enjoy access to the world’s largest music festival, right here in Milwaukee, with free tickets.

- Referral Bonuses*: Earn bonuses by referring friends or family who also join our lifeguard team. *Other bonuses may become available throughout the year too.

The first step to becoming a Milwaukee County Lifeguard is to sign up for one of our In-Water Lifeguard Training Sessions.
Training Schedule for the 2025 Season
- Session 3: February 25 – March 13, Noyes Pool, with the exam on March 15
- Session 4: March 31 – April 16, Pulaski Pool, with the exam on April 19
- Session 5: April 22 – May 8, Pulaski Pool, with the exam on May 10
IMPORTANT: Please note that the in-water exam is mandatory for all recruits. Those who pass this initial test will proceed to Emergency Medical Responder Training, equipping them with the essential skills to handle any situation effectively.

Milwaukee County Parks is offering multiple FREE in-water training sessions at two convenient locations:
- Pulaski Pool: 2701 S. 16th St.
- Noyes Pool: 8235 W. Good Hope Road
Being a lifeguard provides essential skills that support career goals in any field, particularly in leadership, communication, teamwork, public relations, and self-confidence. Lifeguarding also offers a hands-on introduction to medical field work, thanks to extensive First Responder training and real-world experience interacting with the public.
Milwaukee County Parks Lifeguard Corps Successes
Milwaukee County Parks has made remarkable strides in expanding its lifeguard team since the pandemic. From 2022, the lifeguard corps has grown from 77 to 136 lifeguards, a 42% increase. This growth has allowed Milwaukee County Parks to reopen facilities, extend hours, and expand programming, including swim lessons, to serve more visitors each year.
