Discover “Small Spaces, Grand Places” at the Whitefish Bay Garden Walk This Saturday
WHITEFISH BAY – The Whitefish Bay Garden Club invites residents and visitors to experience local gardens at the “Small Spaces, Grand Places” garden walk this Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year’s garden walk features seven private gardens and five public gardens throughout Whitefish Bay. Attendees will witness the efforts of local gardeners, including native plantings, pollinator-friendly plants, colorful blooms, and eco-friendly features.
“As a past co-president of the Whitefish Bay Garden Club, I have seen firsthand the impact of our environmental work and the dedication of our members. This garden walk celebrates our community’s green thumbs while also supporting vital environmental initiatives. I encourage residents to join us to discover how small spaces can make a big impact and contribute to the preservation and beautification of our environment,” said Supervisor Anne O’Connor.
Founded in 1958, the Whitefish Bay Garden Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring an interest in horticulture, protecting natural surroundings, and promoting civic beautification. Its mission includes using sustainable methods and innovative land management practices to enhance the beauty and health of the community.
