Democratic Party of Wisconsin Statement on First Day of SCOTUS Hearings
(WISCONSIN) — In response to the first day of Supreme Court hearings, Democratic Party of Wisconsin chair Ben Wikler released the following statement:
“After nearly four years of Donald Trump relentlessly trying to repeal protections for people with pre-existing conditions and strip millions of Americans of their health care coverage, it’s clear that health care is on the ballot. Trump and the GOP tried to repeal health protections, but Americans rose up and fought them off. Now, Trump is trying to achieve through the courts what he couldn’t at the ballot box, and ram through a Supreme Court Justice to overturn the ACA. Wisconsinites are making it clear in record numbers that they want leaders like Joe Biden and Kamala Harris who will protect their care in the White House.”
