CoPA Milwaukee and Art★Bar Present Annual Juried Photography Exhibition
Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows Opens July 10 with Free Public Reception
MILWAUKEE, WI — The Coalition of Photographic Arts (CoPA Milwaukee) and Art★Bar are pleased to announce the opening of their 2026 annual juried photography exhibition, Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows, on display from July 10 through August 26, 2026, at Art★Bar in Milwaukee.
The public is invited to celebrate the opening at a free reception on Friday, July 10, beginning at 5:30 PM, with juror comments and award presentations at 7:00 PM.
About the Exhibition
Sunshine, Lollipops & Rainbows invites photographers to pause, observe, and find beauty in the overlooked moments of everyday life. This year’s exhibition theme was conceived by juror Don Krause, who challenges artists to reveal the small pockets of joy that surround us — the play of light and shadow, the geometry of a reflection, the fleeting arc of a rainbow — phenomena so common they often escape notice, yet rich with photographic possibility.

The exhibition celebrates the photographer’s unique attunement to subtlety: the glow of a sunrise, the softness of bokeh, the stillness of shadow. As Alfred Stieglitz once observed, “In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality.”
Awards
Selected works will be recognized with the following prizes:
- Don’s Prize — $100 in gift cards to Art★Bar, Wonderland, and Two Bar
- CoPA Board Prize — A one-year membership to CoPA Milwaukee
