WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner released the following statement on the passage of the American Health Care Act in the House of Representatives:

Congressman Sensenbrenner: “The House passage of the American Health Care Act is an important first step in fulfilling the promise we made to the American people to repeal and replace Obamacare – a collapsing law that has failed millions of American businesses and families. This bill is a free-market solution that works for the people, not the government. I applaud its passage and want to congratulate Speaker Ryan for his leadership and fortitude on this important legislation. I look forward to working with my colleagues to continue reforming our nation’s health care system to where care is accessible to all Americans.”

  1. Tony B. says:

I’m not surprised he would say something like this when he’s got some of the best insurance that we all can buy him.

Sickening but not surprising at all.

  2. Vincent Hanna says:

Doctors, Hospitals, and Insurers and the organizations representing them hardly ever agree on anything, yet they all oppose Trumpcare. That should be an enormous red flag here.

  3. Michael Schwister says:

Mr. Sensenbrenner, please stop fulfilling promises to the American people. You are killing us.

  4. DemCo says:

In considering the ACA in 2009 and 2010, the House held 79 hearings over the course of a year, heard from 181 witnesses and accepted 121 amendments. Your House leadership moved this legislation through in a matter of weeks. Yep Rep. Sensenbrenner, this is your “free-market” solution. No need to involve the little folks actually impacted, its only their health care after all, and you had a bill, any bill, to pass.

  5. Jeff w. says:

Senselessbrenner is a disgrace and has done nothing for the hard working people in his district for over 20 yrs he has been in office. One of the worst House of Representatives in the history of the house. You should be hanging your head in shame, not partying at the White House.

  6. Barb- West Bend says:

    Representative Sensenbrenner:
You are supporting the Republican Health Act to the detriment of the common good. The death spiral that the Affordable Care Act is currently undergoing is due to insurance companies bailing out for fear of being left holding the bag when it is repealed and replaced with a plan that reduces subsidies for the lower middle-class workers, thereby making any plan they need unaffordable. ‘Their blood will be on your hands,’ to paraphrase what you said at a recent townhall meeting to a person opposing more oil pipelines. Why should you have superior health care coverage, at nominal cost, over citizens you represent?

  7. reader says:

I wonder what kind of health care they have in Lichtenstien. The money laundering preference of the wealthy and influential. Also a frequent stop of Sensenbrenner where he does not pay a dime.”it’s similar in size to menononee Falls says Sensenbrenner, therefore it’s important for me to visit.
