Community events Friday in 15th Aldermanic District

Ald. Russell W. Stamper, II invites residents to two events taking place on Friday, October 10.

Alderman Russell W. Stamper, II invites residents to two events taking place on Friday, October 10 to celebrate the heritage and housing in the Washington Park neighborhood and the Lisbon Avenue area.

The Washington Park Neighborhood Housing Tour will offer participants a look at featured Habitat for Humanity homes, including a newly-built home and two newly-rehabbed homes. A tour bus will pick up at Muneer’s Studio.

At the same time, the Lisbon Avenue Arts Festival will be taking place from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the corner of 34th Street and Lisbon Avenue. The event will feature food vendors including Amaranth Bakery and BJ’s BBQ, free cooking demonstrations, Artists Working in Education free art activities, an Express Yourself Milwaukee Good EATS Open Mic event and Washington Park artists.
