FarmRaiser & Film Fest!

FarmRaiser & Film Fest!

We are jumping-out-of-our-garden-gloves excited for next Saturday’s FarmRaiser, and we hope you are, too!

Please join us at Concordia Gardens on Saturday, September 19, from 4:00 pm – twilight [220 E. Concordia Ave., Harambee] for delicious food grown in our gardens, prepared by Braise RSA restaurants: Amilinda, Ball N’ Biscuit, Braise, Cafe Manna & Meraki.

Then, join us in dancing to live music by New Age Narcissism and members of Ruth B8r Ginsburg, taking part in a community mural by Art N Soil that will brighten our garden for years to come, getting goofy in the photobooth, enjoying a bar with craft cocktails and local beers, taking part in kids’ activities (the sack race is back!), learning how to cook affordable and healthy meals during our food demos, and so much more—all for FREE! (Donations gratefully accepted for food and drinks.)

At this event celebrating food and community, everyone will also have the opportunity to become a member—adding up to 100 NEW (or reNEWed) members by sundown on Sept. 19!

Bonus #1: The whole event is solar-powered, thanks to Nick Matthes and the MREA!

Bonus #2: As a partner of the Milwaukee Film Festival, we are happy to offer a wonderful opportunity for you to win TWO FREE tickets to see The Wonders (Le Meraviglie) at the Oriental Theatre/Avalon Theater as part of the upcoming Festival. (View trailer.)

Le Meraviglie is an Italian film, a gorgeous portrait of a young woman groomed to care for her father’s beekeeping business as she comes of age with little interest in the matter…and with intrusion by a reality TV show searching for Italy’s “Most Traditional Family.” Simplicity and modernity collide.

FOUR people who register by Friday 9/11 at 5 p.m. will win a pair of tickets to the showing of their choice!

Ready… Set… REGISTER! Tickets can ONLY be picked up at the FarmRaiser. Don’t fret—those who have already registered are already in the running.
