Clean Wisconsin Action Fund Endorses County Executive David Crowley for Governor
MADISON – Today, Democratic gubernatorial nominee David Crowley received the endorsement of Clean Wisconsin Action for his work as Milwaukee County Executive and his positive vision to move Wisconsin forward. During a press conference announcing the endorsements, Crowley and others noted that GOP gubernatorial nominee and MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany has led the charge in Congress to give massive tax breaks and no oversight to the same big tech companies developing data centers and AI.
Upon receiving the endorsement, Crowley released the following statement:
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Clean Wisconsin Action Fund and stand alongside so many leaders, advocates, and partners who are fighting for a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Wisconsin. The stakes could not be higher. MAGA Extremist Tom Tiffany has already sold us out during his nearly 20 years in office. And as governor, Tom Tiffany would absolutely sell our beautiful state of Wisconsin to the highest bidder. [That] means that my kids, and your kids, and all of their kids, are going to inherit a Wisconsin worse than the one we had… I believe deeply in protecting our environment, investing in our communities, and making sure that the next generation inherits a Wisconsin that is more beautiful than the one we inherited—that’s why I’m running for governor of Wisconsin.”
Following the endorsement announcement, Mark Redsten, board member with Clean Wisconsin Action Fund, praised Crowley for his leadership on climate action, sustainability, and environmental justice.
“We need a governor who will listen to communities, follow the science, understand the competing interests, and then make decisions that protect Wisconsin’s environment, our health and our quality of life,” Redsten said. “David understands these issues. He cares about them. And, most importantly, he has demonstrated that he knows how to lead.”
