Children’s Wisconsin Named Wisconsin’s Top Pediatric Hospital and Among the Nation’s Best by U.s. & World Report
Children’s Wisconsin recognized in six pediatric specialties, up from five last year
MILWAUKEE, Wis., Sept. 15, 2026 – Children’s Wisconsin has been recognized as a 2026-2027 Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News & World Report. The health system is ranked as the No. 1 pediatric hospital in Wisconsin and among the nation’s best in six pediatric specialties, up from five specialties last year.
The Children’s Wisconsin specialties ranked by the U.S. News & World Report include Cancer, Gastroenterology and GI Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Pulmonology and Urology.

For the 2026-2027 rankings, U.S. News, together with RTI International, a North Carolina-based research firm, collected and analyzed data from 114 children’s hospitals and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists. Children’s hospitals awarded a “Best” designation excelled at factors such as clinical outcomes, compliance with established best practices, and level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care.
