Chamber Music at the Waelderhaus on March 4

The Waelderhaus is managed by Kohler Foundation and offers unique cultural events throughout the year.

KOHLER, WIS – February 22, 2018 – Arts at the Waelderhaus begins its’ 2018 season with Milwaukee composers Craig Peaslee and Mark Mantel presenting an intimate afternoon of chamber music. The performance will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.

Peaslee’s Suite for Woodwind Quintet – Nine Songs from China is the featured piece of the concert and will make its premiere at the Waelderhaus. Performed by instrumentalists from the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, the suite will fuse elements of chamber music with the Far East and hints of American jazz. The remainder of the program will contain performances by each composer and a work for solo flute by composer Mark Mantel.

Admission is free however reservations are encouraged due to limited capacity. No tickets are necessary. Call the Waelderhaus at 920-453-2851 to reserve your seat, or email kohlerfoundaton@kohler.com.

The Waelderhaus is managed by Kohler Foundation and offers unique cultural events throughout the year. It’s located at 1100 W. Riverside Dr., Kohler, and is open daily (except holidays) to the public for guided tours free of charge at 2:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m.
